Job summary

Ledcor Group seeks a seasoned Millwright Superintendent to lead our Industrial division on major Western Canada projects. You will oversee safe, efficient mechanical installation, drive field excellence from planning to turnover, and guide crews, subcontractors, and trades to deliver on time and within budget.

You are a proactive problem solver with strong leadership, technical expertise, and a focus on safety, quality, and stakeholder collaboration to ensure high-performance outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of mechanical or industrial construction supervision experience.
• Journeyperson Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) designation required.
• Proven experience as a General Foreman, Superintendent, or similar supervisory leader.
• Experience supervising teams of 10-20+ millwrights.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, installation, alignment, rigging and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all millwrighting work to approved drawings, specs, manuals and codes.
• Execute mechanical and millwright construction activities, coordinating crews, equipment and subcontractors.
• Ensure safety requirements meet corporate and regulatory standards.
• Review and update construction schedule to meet milestones.
• Forecast equipment needs and manage tools and assets.
• Review invoices and ensure accurate job costing.
• Hire and mentor hourly millwright crews and submit timecards.
• Prepare field change orders as required.
• Develop RFI’s with engineers for scope clarity.
• Create resource-loaded 3-week lookahead schedules.
