Responsibilities:

1. Ensure safety is at the forefront of every task or action for which you or your group are responsible.
2. Provide leadership and guidance to the planning group, ensuring all work is planned properly, efficiently, and thoroughly.
3. Have a clear understanding of the fundamentals of industrial maintenance and the risks and benefits associated with reactive, preventative, and predictive maintenance.
4. Develop and maintain the planning vision, strategies, principles, and techniques.
5. Evaluate new equipment for maintenance stock inventory requirements and enter data into the equipment database (SAP), including a bill of materials.
6. Ensure maximum equipment and mill operability through the development and use of a reliability maintenance approach.
7. Lead change management initiatives.
8. Manage projects involving planning, vendor contracts, project management, and supervision.
9. Identify cost-saving opportunities through equipment modifications and material substitutions.
10. Optimize warehouse inventory levels.
11. Monitor and advise management on planning performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
