Job summary

Agilent Technologies Inc. is hiring for a senior microbiology/QA leadership role at our Windsor area facility. You will oversee QC microbiology and environmental monitoring staff, manage investigations, and ensure cGMP compliance across manufacturing operations.

The role requires 7+ years in microbiology within life sciences, strong regulatory knowledge, and proven supervision skills. A BS in Microbiology is required; MS/PhD is an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Microbiology or related discipline required.
• MS or PhD is an asset.
• 5+ years of relevant GMP/GLP experience.
• 7+ years in Microbiology within life sciences.
• Experience supervising junior staff is required.
• Proficiency in regulatory microbiology techniques (USP, bioburden, sterility, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Guide and oversee direct or indirect reports including QC microbiology and environmental monitoring staff.
• Administer the environmental monitoring program across the facility and ensure equipment functionality.
• Ensure training for microbiology and environmental monitoring staff is up to date.
• Lead investigations to determine root causes of quality events and CAPAs.
• Design and review validation/verification of microbiology methods and SOPs per guidelines (USP, ICH, FDA, Health Canada).
• Act as Biosafety officer for BSL2 lab and ensure PHAC guideline compliance when required.
• Provide information and presentations on environmental monitoring to stakeholders and clients.
• Review QC records for completeness and GMP compliance.
• Provide training and support for microbiology instruments and bench techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities and ensure regulatory compliance.
