Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Senior Methods & Temporary Works Technician to lead the development of sophisticated methods drawings and 2D/3D BIM models. You will collaborate with engineers, field teams, and project stakeholders to ensure designs meet safety and project requirements, while mentoring technicians within the M&TW group.

Expect to drive site logistics optimization, maintain records in line with quality standards, and contribute to design innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in CAD, BIM, Engineering Technology or related field.
• 10+ years of experience as a technician in construction, with exposure to methods and temporary works.
• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and CAD/BIM tools with 2D/3D modeling experience.
• Proven ability to produce high-quality technical drawings for real construction challenges.
• Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of advanced methods and temporary works drawings and 2D/3D models using CAD/BIM software (AutoCAD, Revit).
• Collaborate with engineers, field teams, and stakeholders to ensure designs meet technical and safety requirements.
• Plan and optimize site logistics, installation methodologies, work sequencing, equipment layouts, and operations.
• Review and update drawings with minimal engineering feedback and field modifications.
• Maintain organized, compliant records of all design files and documentation.
