Job summary

Linesight is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator in Vancouver to lead the development of the total project estimate and coordinate with the project team. You will maintain a library of local rates, analyze risks, and provide contingency recommendations, with 10+ years of estimating experience and proficiency in Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX.

We value strong communication, relationship-building with clients and team, and a chartered status such as RICS CEP/CPE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Have grown your experience as an Estimator over 10 years with increasing levels of scope and responsibility in a construction environment.
• Have demonstrated experience using estimating systems such as Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.
• Have a degree or comparable experience in a construction related discipline.
• Are RICS, CEP or CPE chartered or are on the path to complete it. We can help!
• Are an excellent communicator verbally and in writing
• Are detail orientated and quality focused
• Thrive on building strong relationships with your team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team
• Lead the development of the total project estimate
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates
