Job summary

Krech Ojard & Associates Ltd (KOA) is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer based in Vancouver to support diverse projects across Canada and the US. The candidate should hold P.Eng in Québec (OIQ) or be able to obtain licensure within one year and bring 10+ years of mechanical/industrial design experience.

Responsibilities include overseeing office and field projects, CAD drawing packages, cost estimates, and project reporting while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering with active P.Eng registration in Québec (OIQ) or ability to obtain licensure within 1 year.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical/industrial engineering design experience with leadership in complex projects.
• Knowledge of CAD development and creating drawing packages at design stages.
• Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies.
• Effective communicator with presentation, facilitation and listening skills.
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing and executing office and field engineering projects for clients in Canada, the US, and globally.
• Preparing detailed plans, calculations, and specifications for a variety of mechanical and multi-discipline projects.
• Preparing proposals, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents.
• Performing or overseeing engineering construction inspections for assigned projects.
• Performing or overseeing testing and inspections of mechanical components and materials.
• Preparing detailed engineering reports on progress and completion.
• Performing or overseeing field surveys throughout the project life cycle.
• Analyzing data, preparing reports, and delivering presentations to KOA staff and clients.
