Job summary

The role requires a mechanical engineering background with 7+ years of experience, PE credential or eligible, and strong communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering; PE designation or eligibility.
• Proven design, testing and manufacturing experience for mechanical systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain compliance clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, licensing and manufacture of sealed sources and transport packages.
• Coordinate prototype manufacture, safety analyses and test execution.
• Prepare and report test results and design iterations.
• Develop manufacturing processes and ensure quality and regulatory compliance.
• Meet budgets and schedules; provide guidance to engineers and technicians.
• Respond to regulator and customer inquiries; stay current with Nordion source capabilities.
