Stantec is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead diverse projects in the Industrial Mechanical Group across Quebec. You will design, analyze and validate mechanical systems, supervise teams, and provide technical mentorship while collaborating with cross-functional experts to deliver safe and sustainable energy and infrastructure solutions.

Must hold a P.Eng. license with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, and bring at least 15 years of consulting experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed by OIQ.
• Minimum 15 years of consulting engineering experience.
• Proficient in English in a professional setting.
• ASP Construction Health and Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsabilités

• Manage small- to medium-sized projects.
• Serve as Discipline Lead on medium- to large-scale projects.
• Design, analyze, and validate mechanical systems.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues and clients.
• Supervise technicians and Engineers-in-Training (EITs) on projects.
• Plan field investigations and oversee their execution.
• Participate in service proposals, including effort and schedule estimates.

• Your Day-to-Day at Stantec

• Manage small- to medium-sized projects;

• Serve as Discipline Lead on medium- to large-scale projects;

• Research, design, analyze, and recommend technical solutions;

• Design, calculate, and validate mechanical and industrial systems;

• Perform preliminary sizing and selection of specialized equipment;

• Provide technical support and guidance to colleagues and clients;

• Plan and conduct field investigations or oversee their execution;

• Participate in the preparation of service proposals, including effort and schedule estimates and scope definition;

• Supervise the work of technicians, engineers, and Engineers-in-Training (EITs) on projects;

• Provide coaching and mentorship to team members.

Your Qualifications

Your application will be considered if you possess the following qualifications and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering;

• Registered Professional Engineer and member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ);

• Minimum of 15 years of consulting engineering experience;

• Functional proficiency in English in a professional work environment;

• ASP Construction Health and Safety Certification (or willingness to obtain it). This certification is required for access to industrial facilities and construction sites.
