Job summary

TBT Engineering Limited is seeking a senior Mechanical Designer to lead and contribute to mechanical design projects. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring constructibility and compliance with codes.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior designers, coordinating with engineers and project managers, and supporting proposals and client engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and coordinating design across multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review mechanical design drawings, plans, and technical documentation for building systems, industrial processes, and equipment installations.
• Conduct design calculations for HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related mechanical systems.
• Coordinate design efforts with mechanical engineers, project managers, and other multidisciplinary team members to ensure project alignment and constructability.
• Review and incorporate project requirements, client specifications, and regulatory codes into mechanical designs.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior designers, supporting their professional growth.
• Contribute to project planning, scheduling, and coordination with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
• Support proposal preparation, business development, and client engagement activities.
• Ensure all designs adhere to applicable codes, standards, and company quality and safety systems.
