Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions (ACS) in Markham, ON, is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer specializing in mechanical design for liquid cooling to advance AI and data center platforms.

You will own development from concept to production, design cold plates and assemblies, and collaborate with thermal engineering teams; prior experience in cold plate or liquid cooling is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; master's is a plus.
• 7+ years hands-on mechanical design and product development experience.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and production drawing development.
• Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of liquid cooling components and assemblies for high-speed I/O and AI infrastructure.
• Create 3D models, drawings, GD&T, BOMs; ensure fit, flatness, stiffness, sealing, and serviceability.
• Collaborate with thermal engineers to translate requirements into mechanical designs.
• Own development from concept through qualification and production release.
• Engage with customers and suppliers; communicate progress and tradeoffs.
