Job summary

Jamesway Incubator Company Inc. in Cambridge, ON is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to lead the design, development, validation and launch of new products and enhancements.

This hands-on role requires driving projects from concept through production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor juniors, and help optimize performance, manufacturability, and costs while maintaining compliance with safety and quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma.
• 7+ years of progressive mechanical design and product development experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 10+ years with a Mechanical Engineering Technology Diploma.
• Proven experience leading product development projects from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems, including sheet metal, weldments, machined parts, castings, and molded components.
• Create 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
• Lead product development projects from concept through commercialization.
• Develop solutions that optimize performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
