Job summary

Mirion Technologies (IST Canada) ULC in Vaughan, Ontario, is seeking a Material Manager to oversee planning, procurement, shipping, receiving, storage, and inventory control to ensure materials are available for daily operations.

The role leads a team, develops KPIs, aligns master schedules with demand, and collaborates with Quality, Engineering, Finance and Sales to meet delivery deadlines while controlling costs and reducing waste.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Experience in materials management or production planning is essential.
• Knowledge of ERP systems and Lean principles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train and mentor team members on key processes and metrics.
• Document and enforce inventory control, planning, material movement and procurement.
• Develop reports and KPIs to track progress against division goals.
• Create and maintain master schedules aligning production with demand.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Production to determine material requirements.
• Ensure material traceability and identify maintenance throughout processes.
• Monitor yield and scrap rates and act as required.
• Schedule shop floor activities to meet delivery deadlines.
• Track supplier performance and support onboarding initiatives.
• Prepare regular inventory and production schedule reports for senior management.
