Master Data Supervisor Consultant

Our Calgary-based client is seeking an experienced Master Data Supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the accounting team, responsible for overseeing the entire master data function, managing other master data administrators, ensuring data integrity of financial data, updating fixed data in the financial system, and assisting in the month-end close process.

This is a 12-month contract role.

Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To

1. Manage the Master Data staff
2. Process month-end
3. Ensure updates to Business Associates in the Financial Accounting information system
4. Set up and update Cost Centers, including review of division of interest and allocations in the Financial Accounting information system
5. Establish and maintain new accounts in the Chart of Accounts in the Financial Accounting information system
6. Support cost centers and divisions on interest questions related to ongoing merger and acquisition transactions
7. Perform quarterly reconciliations of the Master Data within the Financial Accounting information system with various systems within the Accounting and Land departments
8. Other accounting projects as required

Your Strengths Include:

1. Bachelor’s degree in finance
2. Knowledge of financial accounting information systems; experience with Qbyte is an asset
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
4. Experience supervising staff at various levels
5. Ability to work independently and in a team environment
6. Effective communication skills for issue resolution
7. Oil & Gas accounting experience, including Joint Venture accounting, is an asset
