Job summary

CBC/Radio-Canada is seeking a Master Maintenance Technician (T & I) for an on-site, full-time role in Montreal. The ideal candidate will advise across Technical Services, Engineering, Production and other departments on planning, acquiring, installing, and optimizing new equipment and systems.

With 10+ years of experience and a strong command of English, you will design training courses and guide teams to maintain and improve production and broadcasting systems in a multidisciplinary

Qualifications

• College diploma (DSC) in electronics technology (audiovisual, telecommunications or computer systems option) or other relevant field.
• Ten (10) or more years’ experience in consulting on both new and legacy equipment and systems.
• The position requires a functional level of English.

Responsibilities

• Advise Technical Services, Engineering, Production and other departments in planning, acquiring, approving, installing and implementing new equipment or systems, as well as in optimizing their use.
• Plan and coordinate the installation, implementation and integration of production and broadcasting equipment and systems as part of assigned projects.
• Make recommendations for selecting new equipment and implementation strategies through an ongoing dialogue with specialized staff on their requirements.
• Establish, draft, document and recommend operating procedures.
• Develop and implement unique, approved technical solutions for issues that cannot be resolved by commercially available designs or subsystems.
