Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Capitalize on the existing opportunities in the port and marine sector on the West and Arctic Coasts and offshore wind opportunities.

Identify new opportunities and assist in managing proposal preparation and client-facing activities.

1. Assist in growing and enhancing our marine capability.
2. Technical stewardship for the delivery of high-quality Marine Science and Data Collection services.
3. Establish a strategy for growth for Marine Sciences, focusing on West and Arctic Coasts, with consideration to Atlantic Coast in the future.
4. Collaborate with other Marine Science Advisian hubs globally including INTECSEA.
5. Help mentor members of the Marine Sciences team to support their technical and career development.
6. Be a Worley Consulting ambassador in the field and participate in thought leadership (conferences, papers).
7. Deliver marine scopes within the ‘as sold’ gross margin.
8. Travel as required for various field programs.

Qualifications

1. B.Sc. or M.Sc. Degree from an accredited institution plus appropriate continuing education in Biology, Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
2. Registered Professional Biologist (R.PBio) or eligibility for professional registration in British Columbia.
3. Expert knowledge in the marine sciences within the West and/or Arctic Coasts.
4. Senior-level experience in the environmental consulting field.
5. Demonstrated commitment to HSE leadership.
6. A strong network of industry contacts within the regulatory community (such as DFO and provincial and territorial regulatory bodies).
7. Excellent client interfacing skills with an ability to identify new opportunities within the client scope.
8. Track record of successful management of projects/work packages to meet agreed budget and schedule.
9. Technical reporting prowess. Aid in the preparation of proposals, budget estimates, and schedules for projects/work packages.

For applicants based in the province of British Columbia, the salary range is CAD $98,824.00 - $162,965.00.
