  • Lead and mentor a team of tax specialists, providing guidance on tax reporting processes, compliance requirements, and professional development.
QI, FATCA, and CRS Compliance
  • Oversee all aspects of the QI compliance program, including the upkeep of the QI Governance documentation and policy, along with the management of FATCA and CRS policies.
  • Manage cross‑functional projects related to tax compliance, tax reporting systems, and process improvements.
  • Ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope, coordinating with various departments including technology, operations, and compliance.
  • Coordinate annual QI training and ensure that all relevant personnel are up to date with the latest compliance standards.
  • Assist the QI Responsible Officer and the Contact Person with periodic reviews and certification of compliance, which occur every three years.
  • Participate in key industry committees, identifying initiatives and regulatory changes that may impact the business.
  • Stay current on changes impacting tax operations and conduct assessments to manage the integration of tax‑related updates within the organization.
  • Verify that key data is accurately captured in internal systems by reviewing control reports, and taking corrective action when needed.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure that the necessary withholding procedures are in place for U.S.-sourced income.
  • Oversee the tax component of client onboarding, including data mapping, form sampling, data queries, and ensuring all documentation is compliant with internal/external standards.
  • Manage the annual process of obtaining updated documentation from clients for expiring forms and treaty statements.
  • Maintain and update the risk and control matrix for tax‑related processes.
  • Coordinate the annual internal compliance attestation for QI, FATCA, and CRS processes.
  • Administer the collection of U.S. tax documentation, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations.
  • Escalate issues that may impact tax compliance to the Vice President, Taxation & Estates.
What You Will Bring
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in tax operations, with strong focus on QI, FATCA, and CRS.
