Job summary

Celero Communications is seeking a Senior Manager/Director of System Verification (SVT) to lead validation strategy and execution for disruptive coherent optical DSP technology targeting data center applications. You will own end-to-end system validation and work directly with hyperscaler customers to qualify modules from ecosystem partners.

The role combines hands-on verification with team leadership, requiring deep DSP, optical, and communications expertise.

Qualifications

• MS/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Optical Communications, or related field.
• 12 or more years in coherent optical or high-speed communication systems.
• Proven leadership in system validation of coherent DSP products.
• Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation (scope, DCA, AWG, BERT) and automation.
• Strong programming skills (Python, MATLAB, or C++).

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end system verification strategy and execution for coherent DSP products.
• Translate system requirements into DSP performance targets (equalization, timing/carrier recovery).
• Define link budgets and align DSP performance with optical components and module partners.
• Lead system modeling and correlation with lab measurements (e.g., RONSR, sensitivity).
• Oversee development of golden reference transceivers for system correlation and benchmarking.
• Drive system bring-up, debug, and optimization across DSP, optics, and analog front-end.
• Build and lead a high-performing SVT team; define methodologies and test coverage.
• Partner with customers and module vendors to accelerate qualification and deployment.
