Job description

The Senior Manager, Risk Management and Taxation, leads and manages all aspects of tax compliance and oversees the Risk and Controls Program. The role involves providing financial advisory services to support planning and adaptation to regulatory changes.

The Risks and Controls workgroup collaborates with various company departments to ensure a robust internal control environment. It develops the Risk and Controls framework and guides business units in its implementation.

The Senior Manager interacts with a broad network of internal and external contacts and manages a team of analysts.

Special requirements include occasional overnight travel and outside regular hours to meet deadlines.

Position Requirements:

Education and Experience:

  • Canadian CPA designation, in good standing, with the year of certification specified. For foreign designations, ensure assessment for Canadian equivalency.

Note: Recent relevant experience (within last 5 years) must include:

  • At least 2 years in a financial management role, leading compliance and taxation across multiple business units.
  • Providing expert financial advice and recommendations.
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience or team leadership in financial or administrative roles.

Preferred experience includes:

  • Enterprise risk management expertise.
  • Financial experience in wholesale or retail distribution sectors.
  • Auditing experience with internal control assessments.
