JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Manager, Retail Rewards & Incentives is responsible for fostering and maintaining strong internal and external relationships, particularly with BCLC leadership and Service Provider partners. This role acts as a key leader to drive strategic conversations, collaboration and product enhancements as it pertains to the BCLC Rewards and Incentives Program.
The Senior Manager will work closely with various stakeholders to build and maintain high-profile relationships to assess feasibility and operational needs of the partnership program, while evaluating third-party partnership requests.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Provides strategic leadership to inform the future design of the new Rewards and Incentives Program
- Develops and implements business strategies to achieve operational excellence, communicates the vision, strategy, and benefits of the program, while ensuring a shared understanding and alignment between BCLC leaders and our Service Providers.
- Oversees the corporate technology roadmap to enable new program design and development of the strategic long-term enterprise loyalty roadmap.
- Defines the future roadmap and rollout of MVP Rewards and Incentives, aligning with stakeholders, service providers, and Director of Loyalty.
- Partners with the Service Provider and internal business units to identify and support strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing revenue generation for the Service Provider.
- Sets the overall direction of service provider initiatives and partnerships that require BCLC involvement, ensuring successful and timely implementation, particularly concerning the new Rewards and Incentives program.
- Drives ownership and accountability to fulfill contract obligations with the Service Provider and Business Partners, ensuring compliance and performance standards are met.
- Represents the Loyalty Management team at all relevant Operational BCLC Committees, engaging with both the Service Provider and internal business partners to ensure alignment and effective communication.
- Manages relationships with strategic partners to ensure cohesive and integrated approaches that strengthen cross-department initiatives.
- Develops and manages significant budgets, business case investments for new initiatives/expenditures, approves high-risk financial decisions and sets revenue targets.
- Exemplifies leadership behaviours that support engagement of staff such as practicing meaningful recognition, inspiring a shared vision, communicating with staff regularly, coaching/mentoring others, conducting performance conversations, and supporting culture and change management initiatives.
- Provides strong people leadership by championing BCLC's vision, mission, and values, and Social Purpose.
- Acts as a delegate for their Director as required.
QUALIFICATIONSA combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A Bachelor degree in business, or related discipline;
- 6 to 8 years of relevant experience;
- 3 to 5 years experience managing multiple vendor relationships including contract negotiation and service level management.
KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Experience managing complex, performance-focused commercial contracts;
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment;
- Highly experience with issue management resolution;
- Strong knowledge and understanding of legal terminology related to service provider contracts;
- Demonstrated skills of projecting strong technical expertise and influence skills when communicating contract related topics to senior organization leaders both internally and externally;
- Advanced technical writing skills, and able to write reports and document procedures;
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

- Experience working with public sector contracts would be an asset;
- Understanding of Agile methodology or experience working with a cross-functional team environment would be an asset;
- Understanding of B.C. gaming industry would be an asset.
