Job description

We Are:

We are Accenture’s Public Service team, helping government organizations reinvent how programs and services are designed, delivered, and experienced by the people they serve. In the public sector, that means working alongside clients to modernize operations, improve service outcomes, strengthen workforce and citizen experiences, and navigate complex policy, regulatory, funding, and stakeholder environments. We bring deep industry knowledge, enterprise-wide transformation experience, AI-enabled reinvention methods, and practical process expertise to help public service organizations envision the future, articulate their strategy and move from strategy to measurable outcomes. Together, we help government work better for British Columbia—responsibly, sustainably, and with confidence in a future of continuous change.

You Are:

If you are energized by shaping the path forward—not just executing the plan in front of you—and take pride in building transformation that outlasts the engagement, Accenture Consulting offers the platform to do that at scale. In this role, you will be an active part of Accenture’s growth as a trusted transformation partner to British Columbia’s public sector, helping clients modernize programs, improve service delivery, and navigate change with confidence.

You are a seasoned public service advisor with a demonstrated track record delivering transformation within British Columbia’s provincial government environment. Your differentiator is the ability to combine trusted executive relationships, practical delivery judgment, and deep understanding of provincial policy, procurement, and stakeholder dynamics to shape approaches and solutions that move from strategy to measurable outcomes. You are credible with Assistant Deputy Ministers and senior leaders, comfortable navigating ministry complexities, and able to articulate how Accenture’s experience and assets bring differentiated value to clients.

The Work:

As a Senior Manager in our Public Service practice, you will play a market-facing leadership role in expanding Accenture’s footprint across the Government of British Columbia. You will help originate new opportunities, shape compelling client propositions, and identify transformation work that advances public service outcomes across the province. Drawing on Accenture’s public service expertise, AI-enabled reinvention methods, and Industry & Process capabilities, you will:

  • Identify, qualify, and shape new opportunities across BC ministries and public sector organizations, translating client priorities into actionable transformation pursuits.
  • Build and deepen trusted relationships with Assistant Deputy Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Executive Directors, and senior program leaders to position Accenture as a long-term transformation partner.
  • Lead pursuit strategy and proposal development, including opportunity framing, win themes, solution shaping, commercial alignment, and executive-level messaging.
  • Work with account, industry, technology, and delivery leaders to bring the best of Accenture to BC Government clients through integrated, outcome-focused solutions.
  • Develop market insights on BC Government priorities, procurement pathways, funding dynamics, and cross-ministry transformation opportunities to inform account planning and pipeline growth.
  • Shape AI-enabled reinvention opportunities across policy, operations, service delivery, and technology, ensuring proposed solutions are practical, responsible, and aligned to public value.
  • Support account growth by identifying adjacent opportunities, expanding relationships within existing client accounts, and helping convert strategic conversations into funded work.
  • Provide delivery leadership on strategic engagements, ensuring commitments made during pursuits translate into credible, high-quality client outcomes on the ground
Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • 8+ years of experience in management consulting, within the British Columbia provincial government operations, or public service transformation, with a demonstrated track record leading engagements and managing Assistant Deputy Minister-level client relationships.
  • Proven ability to direct multi-workstream transformation programs and to be accountable for the quality of outputs across an engagement.
  • Demonstrated experience shaping and leading client pursuits and driving account growth in a consulting or professional services context.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, including experience advising and presenting to Assistant Deputy Minister and Director General-level stakeholders.
  • Expert-level knowledge of Government of Britichs Columbia governance, the Budget cycle, and transformation precedents, with established relationships across central agencies.
