Job summary

United Way British Columbia is seeking a Manager, Projects & Operations to lead the Community Impact & Investment team’s administrative and project activities. You will supervise staff, translate priorities into workplans, and ensure efficient program delivery.

The role requires strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and data-driven decision-making, with hybrid work and collaboration across internal teams and partners. Knowledge of nonprofit operations is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Community Development, Business Admin, etc.)
• Equivalent combination of education, lived experience, and leadership may be considered
• PM certification or formal PM/ops training is an asset
• Leadership development or supervisory training is an asset

Responsibilities

• Lead administrative and project support staff with coaching and performance management
• Oversee project workflows and departmental processes for consistent service delivery
• Manage operational workplans, timelines, and resources to meet deliverables
• Foster relationships with community partners, contractors, funders and internal teams
• Monitor budgets, reports and data systems to support planning and accountability
• Ensure effective use of platforms like Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Jira, Sage, Salesforce, and Power BI
