Job Overview

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven professional to join as Senior Manager, Projects in Pickering, ON.

Reporting to the Project Director, the Senior Manager will lead project teams, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost performance, and executing projects according to established standards and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce project management practices across scope, schedule, cost, risk, and communication.
• Define project scope, prepare and manage project plans, business cases, and project closeout activities.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation strategies, and manage change control processes.
• Prepare and present gate packages, ensuring compliance and securing approvals.
• Monitor and report project progress using performance metrics.
• Develop estimates, monitor costs, and maintain budget integrity.
• Engage stakeholders and foster effective communication.
• Oversee procurement activities and contract compliance.
• Ensure quality assurance and oversee field activities.
• Lead a team of Project Managers and oversee a project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering, construction, manufacturing, or related field; PMP preferred.
• 7+ years in nuclear or project management fields.
• 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience with nuclear plant operations is an asset.
• Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
