About Global Transaction Banking

Global Transaction Banking (GTB) is the payments and transaction engine of Scotiabank, supporting Small Business, Commercial, and Corporate clients with treasury management solutions and a best-in-class service model. As businesses evolve digitally, GTB offers innovative banking solutions to enhance operational efficiencies, streamline payments, improve working capital, and mitigate risks. We focus on the Americas, especially Canada, the U.S., and Mexico, and seek top talent to join our fast-growing team.

Purpose

Leads and oversees GTB Product Onboarding for Digital Channels in Canada, ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.

What You'll Do
  1. Lead a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships and systems.
  2. Partner with product owners and business segments to deliver capabilities for ScotiaConnect Digital Channels.
  3. Develop a vision and roadmap aligned with strategic priorities.
  4. Collaborate with teams to understand and articulate product vision, impacts, and dependencies.
  5. Gather requirements, execute user acceptance testing, and ensure quality delivery.
  6. Work with IT to enhance product capabilities and create seamless digital experiences.
  7. Define user stories with clear acceptance criteria, decompose requirements, and participate in grooming and sizing.
  8. Manage documentation, communicate changes, and prioritize features in the backlog.
  9. Review and approve development work before release.
  10. Contribute to solution discussions and team performance improvements.
  11. Build a digital-first environment that meets customer and business needs.
  12. Collaborate with SMEs to define system requirements, develop implementation plans, and address barriers.
  13. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, share ideas, and stay informed on market trends.
  14. Participate in Agile projects, including release planning, sprint grooming, and retrospectives.
  15. Optimize stories for functionality and customer feedback mechanisms.
  16. Consider risk appetite and ensure operational controls and compliance.
  17. Foster a high-performance, inclusive team environment, and manage succession planning.
