Job summary

Capital One Canada is seeking a Senior Manager, Privacy Compliance to lead the privacy program under the Chief Privacy Officer. You will communicate regulatory developments, advise on privacy requirements for new products, and coordinate with regulators to ensure ongoing compliance.

You will engage with business units to drive customer-focused privacy controls, participate in audits, and help establish written privacy policies aligned with Canadian laws and enterprise policies.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a legal role within a financial institution, telecom, or insurance company.
• At least 5 years of experience in Privacy.
• At least 7 years of experience with Canadian banking legislation for the financial services sector.
• At least 3 years of experience with audit and regulatory exams.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Privacy Program daily under the guidance of the Chief Privacy Officer.
• Communicate key regulatory developments to stakeholders and help implement changes.
• Advise business units on application of federal and provincial privacy requirements for products and processes.
• Liaise with regulators and participate in regulatory examinations and internal audits.
