About the role:

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients? We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to join our team as a Senior Manager, Patient Access. As the Senior Manager, you will lead the cross-functional team to execute your vision for patient access, ensuring patients receive timely, optimal access to the therapies they need.

The role reports directly into the Director, Reimbursement and Patient Access and will work closely with the Value & Access, New Product Planning team as well as several cross-functional teams.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  1. In collaboration with the Director, Reimbursement and Patient Access, lead the development and execution of strategic planning to leverage reimbursement potential across Canada for various brands and Therapeutic Areas.
  2. Create the integrated Access plan with the extended Value & Access (VA) & New Product Planning (NPP) teams, covering policy, health technology value, pricing, stakeholder engagement, and innovative payer and healthcare system solutions.
  3. Support clinical and pharmacoeconomic evidence used in reimbursement decisions and recommend strategies to address gaps.
  4. Liaise with Global VA & NPP teams to ensure timely input for Canadian access plans.
  5. Determine optimal brand value proposals and innovative partnerships to maximize access and formulary listings.
  6. Maintain strong understanding of health economics environments and signal important changes proactively.
  7. Develop messages, tools, and operational plans based on strategy for field execution.
  8. Continuously adapt access strategies post-listing based on environmental and competitive changes to maintain leadership in the therapeutic area.

Essential Requirements:

  • 5 to 10 years relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Market access experience with a solid understanding of Health Outcomes, Health Economics, and Canadian Pharma Pricing and Reimbursement environment.
  • Leadership skills (leadership without authority), ability to manage multifunctional teams, and effective networking.
  • Strong facilitation, negotiation, analytical, and project management skills.
  • Business acumen.
  • English proficiency (written and spoken); French is highly desirable.

  • Strong scientific knowledge.
  • Experience interacting with executives and external stakeholders.
