ROLE PURPOSE
The Senior Manager of Building Infrastructure & Asset Management handles key initiatives across Infrastructure and other projects as needed. They will develop and implement structures and support to ensure that Connective’s assets are maintained to provide safe, clean, and comfortable environments for clients, residents, staff, and volunteers.
Connective is a community-based social services nonprofit operating in BC and Yukon. We enable this through a continuum of innovative and dynamic housing, life-skills, outreach, employment, and community-based services with the goal of assisting individuals to achieve greater independence.
STATUS AND CLASSIFICATION
This is an exempt position.
- Monday to Friday: 0830 – 1630
- Individuals must be willing to work flexible hours to meet operational needs as need

KEY ACCOUNABILITIES:
As a Senior Manager of Building Infrastructure & Asset Management , y our key accountabilities will include:
- Supports in the expansion and revision of the property portfolio used to deliver services across BC and Yukon.
- Develops and manages key processes and systems in relation to Connective properties (both owned and leased).
- Manages and supervises maintenance and support team of both internal team members and external vendors/contractors who provide services related to property management and maintenance.
- Provides the team with guidance related to navigating the Residential Tenancy Act (RTA) to ensure tenant, staff, and community safety.
- Ensures that Connective meets regulatory and accreditation requirements in relation to Connective properties. This includes CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) standards.
- Leads continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for improvement in costs, quality, customer service, and assets.
- Identifies renovation and development opportunities based on project concepts and specifications in consultation with staff.
- Seeks funding opportunities for various asset-related projects.
- Develops and manages timelines for various activities to ensure strategic plans and critical development processes are carried out in a timely manner and within budget.
- Ensures that Connective meets contractual obligations for insurance, including liability, property, cyber, etc.
- Supports in the development and coordination of a risk management framework for all real property risk strategies.
EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor's degree, diploma and/or trade certificate in a relevant discipline or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
- 7 years of recent experience with relationships, project management, and systems thinking
- Experience or knowledge of the interworking’s of non-profit environments (an asset)
- Experience managing residential properties (an asset)
- Strong communication skills (listening, verbal and written).
- Demonstrated commitment to a high level of customer service.
- Ability to manage and coordinate a work team.
- Flexibility to travel throughout Connective’s operating locations.
- High proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Persons Criminal Records
- Able to successfully pass a reference check
- Valid BC Driver’s License
- Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination
COMPENSATION
Annual Salary will start at $72,400 - $90,500 based on experience and qualifications. This role will also be eligible for our comprehensive benefits package.
Important: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada, observe their weekly hours limit if under a temporary or study visa, and provide proof of eligibility if selected for the role.
