This role involves validating models, assessing model risk, and ensuring model appropriateness for a designated portfolio. The candidate will provide challenge during development, communicate decisions regarding model use, and assess model capabilities, stress points, limitations, and associated risks. Responsibilities include fostering a culture aligned with BMO's values, building collaborative teams, attracting and developing talent, advising on strategy, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing resources, and leading strategic initiatives. The role also requires developing validation strategies, independently validating models, identifying deficiencies, providing technical guidance, maintaining knowledge of risk management and regulatory requirements, building stakeholder relationships, monitoring performance, and leading change management programs. The position may also involve representing the model validation program during audits and developing reports and dashboards.

Qualifications:

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience with a post-secondary degree or equivalent.
• Expertise in model validation, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication, analytical, influence, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and make data-driven decisions.
• People management experience is a plus.

Salary:

$92,400.00 - $171,600.00
