Job summary

PwC Canada is seeking a Merger and Acquisition Tax Senior Manager in Toronto to lead tax advisory work through complex deal life cycles, from structuring to post-merger integration. You’ll coach junior staff, manage multiple stakeholders, and deliver data-driven recommendations.

You’ll apply expertise in tax research, cross-border considerations, and innovative financial modeling to help clients across industries navigate rapid tax changes and achieve strategic outcomes.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of proven and practical experience in M&A Tax.
• Keen interest on Technology and AI.
• Ability to work in a multitasked, fast paced and changing environment.
• Excellent capacity to take initiatives and to take ownership of a project.
• Ability to think creatively, solve complex problems, determine innovative solutions and communicate with impact.
• Superior communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills that allow you to thrive in a team environment.
• CPA, CA designation is an asset. Completion of the M.Tax Program or In-Depth is a strong asset.
• When applying to a Quebec based opportunity, fluency in French is required. Outside of Quebec, fluency in French is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Help clients meet and manage tax obligations across M&A tax specialties.
• Advise on transaction structuring, tax due diligence, reorganizations, and post-acquisition integration.
• Assess historical tax risks of targets and analyze proposed transactions for tax implications.
• Provide tax-efficient restructurings and perform financial analysis / modeling.
• Coach Associates and Senior Associates and help manage team performance.
