Job summary

MNP is seeking a Senior Manager to lead Indigenous Economic Development and Major Projects, partnering with Indigenous communities to shape investment strategies and governance tools. Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Law, Finance, Indigenous Studies, or a related field.
• Experience working with Indigenous communities or organizations.
• CBV, CPA, CFA, or AFM and strong financial acumen considered an asset.
• Demonstration of advanced project management skills and tactics.
• Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead economic development initiatives with Indigenous communities, including investment analysis; partnership negotiation support; major project transaction negotiation; investment strategy development; economic development corporation re-structuring and development of associated governance tools
• Develop and interpret financial models to support informed decision making for investments and partnerships
• Identify innovative ways to deliver added value to clients; ensure needs are met and relationships grow and develop
• Support proposal development, client engagement, and business development activities
• Maintain high quality control and apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address issues or key risks relevant to the client’s business
• Network in the local business community, consider business development opportunities
• Mentor, motivate and coach team members towards professional and personal development
• Maintain flexibility to travel, as necessary

Key Responsibilities

• 7+ years of experience in a senior role at an Indigenous economic development corporation, law, investment banking finance/accounting, financial modeling, or consulting
• Degree in Business, Law, Finance, Indigenous Studies, or a related field
