We are looking for a Senior Manager, Financial Reporting for a one-year contract, with possibility of extension. This is a hybrid role with three days per week in our downtown Toronto office.

Responsibilities :

• Manage the preparation of both quarterly and annual financial reports for subsidiaries, coordinating with auditors and internal teams to ensure smooth audit processes.
• Lead the compilation of monthly and quarterly reporting packages for executive review and board presentation.
• Develop, improve, and maintain various financial reporting tools and dashboards to support strategic decision-making.
• Provide expertise in complex accounting issues, offering guidance on challenging transactions and implementing company-wide accounting policies.
• Act as a primary point of contact for audit inquiries, facilitating effective communication between internal teams and external auditors.
• Supervise the monthly closing process, ensuring all journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation are accurate and complete.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis of significant contracts and intricate accounting scenarios to ensure compliance and proper reporting.
• Evaluate current practices and identify opportunities for process improvements in financial reporting and accounting functions.
• Handle various special requests and ad hoc projects related to financial analysis and reporting.
