Job summary

Engage Recruitment seeks a hands-on Manager, Financial Reporting to join a fast-growing Ontario organization. Reporting to the CFO, you will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close, oversee accounting operations, and partner with leadership to develop KPIs and drive process improvements.

You hold a CPA, bring 5+ years of progressive finance experience, and excel at communicating insights to senior leaders. Healthcare/tech experience is a plus, with a base of CAD 135–150k plus 10% bonus.

Qualifications

• CPA designation required with 5+ years of progressive finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian accounting requirements.
• Analytical, with excellent communication and problem solving abilities.
• Able to operate independently in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting.
• Experience improving processes and financial systems; ability to present to leadership.

Responsibilities

Are you a CPA who enjoys combining technical accounting expertise with business partnership and process improvement?

We’re looking for a Manager, Financial Reporting to join a growing organization and play a key role in strengthening and scaling the finance function. Reporting to the CFO, you’ll have broad exposure across financial reporting, accounting operations, FP&A, tax, audit, systems, and process improvement.

In this role, you’ll:

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting and close processes
• Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely financial information
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to analyze performance and develop meaningful KPIs
• Support external audits and coordinate with tax advisors on Canadian and U.S. requirements
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and financial systems
• Help optimize and scale the organization’s ERP and finance infrastructure
• Prepare financial analysis and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders

We’re looking for someone who:

• Holds a CPA designation and has 5+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience
• Has strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian accounting requirements
• Brings excellent analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills
• Is comfortable operating independently in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment
• Enjoys improving processes and finding smarter ways to work
• Can confidently communicate financial insights to senior leaders and stakeholders
• Has experience in healthcare, technology, or another high‑growth environment — an asset
• Has Big Four experience or ERP implementation experience — an asset

Compensation:
