The Senior Manager will lead the design, development, execution, and continuous improvement of iLEAD leadership learning programs for High Potential talent and Executives. This role ensures alignment with business outcomes, Talent CoE priorities, and global learning initiatives. The role involves delivering a modern, digital, and relevant leadership learning experience across Scotiabank, collaborating closely with Business Leaders, Human Resources, Talent CoE, Global Learning, and other groups to implement best-in-class leadership solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Leading and fostering a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships and systems.
  2. Designing, developing, and delivering iLEAD leadership programs aligned with business outcomes and talent priorities.
  3. Managing the redesign and execution of the global iLEAD leadership offering to align with Bank strategy, values, and competencies.
  4. Collaborating with HR, Learning Advisors, and CoE to develop leadership programs that address performance and development gaps using a performance consulting approach.
  5. Leading leadership content development for new capabilities and collaborating on global certification programs to enhance capabilities across the Bank.
  6. Developing evaluation strategies with the Learning Strategy and Insights team to measure program effectiveness.
  7. Building relationships with Leadership CoE, Learning CoE, and Business HR to identify learning needs and manage vendor relationships for program development when needed.
  8. Ensuring risk considerations are integrated into daily activities, including operational, compliance, AML/ATF, and conduct risks, adhering to relevant frameworks and guidelines.
  9. Creating a high-performance team environment, attracting, retaining, and developing talent, fostering inclusivity, and managing succession planning.

Qualifications include:

  • Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Performance Consulting, Adult Education, Educational Technology, or Instructional Design.
  • Significant experience in designing and developing leadership learning programs.
  • Degree, certificate, or designation in adult learning.
  • Strong knowledge of learning theories and practices.
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptability to changing environments.
  • Proven teamwork and results orientation in fast-paced settings.
  • Understanding of Bank’s strategy and how Learning supports it.
  • Strong project management and execution skills.
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills.
  • Business acumen and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Spanish language skills are an asset.
