Senior Manager, Digital Product Lead – Automotive Finance (Toronto, ON)

The Senior Manager, Digital Product Lead oversees critical Retail Automotive Manufacturer relationships and is responsible for championing for the business’ strategic initiatives within Scotiabank. The incumbent will ensure the customer portfolio assigned to them receives ongoing day-to-day attention to maintain, improve, and retain relationships. They will deepen client relationships by providing proactive advice and solutions, as well as be a client champion, leveraging partners and promoting the manufacturer’s products.

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
  • Support the development of short- and long-term Automotive Finance digital plans and new channels to market.
  • Develop research on key areas of opportunities in the Automotive industry including new products, programs, systems to provide Automotive Finance with a complete understanding of potential new opportunities and best practices.
  • Identifying and analyzing trends across Automotive Finance to identify weaknesses, gaps and opportunities for innovation, diversification, business, and revenue growth. Developing an understanding of competitor strategies and means of differentiation.

Digital Product

  • Lead the design & development of the core Auto Finance digital products including Build & Price Calculator, Online Credit Application & Auto Loan Restructure
  • Act as the key liaison with exclusive OEM partners to optimize the use of digital products
  • Work with Manufacturer Business partners to develop and agree digital roadmaps with existing OEM partners
  • Work with Manufacturer Business partners to support the engage with prospective OEM partnerships for Digital Products

Customer Insight

  • Develop strategic customer insight for Auto Finance customers to support the strategic planning of the business line
  • Develop strategic customer insight for OEM partners that validate & enhance their own customer insights
  • Establish processes for supporting joint marketing campaigns between Scotiabank and OEM partners. Focus on the provision of highly personalized lead data

Cross-Sell Strategy

  • Support the development of the cross sell strategy for Auto Finance customers
  • Lead the delivery of the Auto+ programme, working with internal partners and stakeholders to deliver to time and quality

Leadership

  • Provides strong leadership to all team members to motivate both individual and team performance and foster and encourage an environment of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Be positive and supportive as requests or direct change to meet the demands of the partner and/or market environment.
  • Helps to recruits high potential candidates and support employee development by sharing knowledge/experience and providing opportunities for staff to share responsibility for achieving business objectives/goals.
  • Ensures detailed and up-to-date process documentation is in place for effective succession planning and cross-training.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

  • 5+ years in automotive industry, with global experience a bonus
  • 5+ years in automotive finance preferred
  • 5+ years working with digital products
  • 5+ years experience working with customer insight
  • Experience working in agile software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Ability to understand complex technical concepts and communicate them to a non-technical audience
  • University Degree or related experience
  • High clients focus and Relationship Management expertise
  • Self-reliance and proactive approach to work
