Job summary

Swoon in Toronto, hybrid (in-office Tue, Thu, Fri) is seeking a Senior Manager for Customer Segments & Growth focusing on partnerships and operations. This contract role runs Aug 24, 2026–Aug 23, 2028, with a two-year length and extension possibility.

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in financial services, banking, strategy, partnerships, business development, operations, or a related field.
  • Senior Manager-level experience preferred.
  • Proven experience developing, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships and sponsorships.
  • Strong partner negotiation experience with the ability to influence outcomes and create mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building, and influencing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives and delivering measurable business results.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience developing business cases, growth strategies, recommendations, and executive-level presentations.
  • Previous people leadership experience is an asset.
  • Experience within banking or financial services is strongly relevant.
  • MBA or Master's degree is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute partnership and sponsorship strategies aligned to business growth objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and manage strategic relationships with external organizations.
  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Lead partner negotiations and establish mutually beneficial commercial and strategic arrangements.
  • Assess partnership performance and identify opportunities to expand or improve relationships.
  • Identify emerging trends, customer needs, market opportunities, and potential growth areas.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies and recommendations.
  • Develop business cases, executive presentations, and recommendations to support strategic decisions.
  • Establish KPIs and performance measures to evaluate partnership effectiveness and business impact.
  • Drive initiatives that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, scalability, and portfolio performance.
  • Work closely with Product, Marketing, Frontline, Risk, Operations, and other internal teams to deliver strategic priorities.
  • Coordinate complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders and ensure successful execution.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve the overall customer and partner experience.
  • Lead a team responsible for partnership management, operations, and business execution.
  • Establish clear objectives, accountability, and performance expectations.
  • Coach and develop team members while fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
  • Represent the team and its priorities with senior leadership and key stakeholders.

What You'll Do
Lead Strategic Partnerships & Sponsorships
  • Develop and execute partnership and sponsorship strategies aligned to business growth objectives.

What We're Looking For
