Pratt & Whitney Canada seeks a Senior Manager, Customer Programs – New Engine Programs to lead a Customer Engineering team and drive readiness for new engine programs. The Senior Manager, Customer Programs – New Engine Programs plays a strategic role in preparing and supporting the Entry Into Service (EIS) of Pratt & Whitney Canada’s next-generation engines

As part of the EIS Customer Programs team, the successful candidate will ensure the operational, technical, and organizational readiness required for a successful transition from product development to in-service support. Working closely with multiple business units, this role will ensure customer expectations are exceeded during the entry into service of new products.

The position will lead a Customer Engineering team, identify technical challenges, drive mitigation plans, and contribute to the continuous improvement of support processes to ensure the success of future engine programs.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours in Longueuil and is performed exclusively on-site.

What will your day-to-day look like?

  • Lead and develop a team of Customer Engineering professionals through direct people management.
  • Participate in Program Management Teams (PMT) as the aftermarket representative.
  • Represent the aftermarket organization during coordination meetings with OEM teams.
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and communications for senior leadership.

Pre Entry Into Service specific tasks

  • Support EIS readiness activities across all aftermarket modules.
  • Support the planning and execution of product campaigns.
  • Enhance the Fleet Leader Program by incorporating Engineering learnings and independent assessments.
  • Ensure technical and operational readiness to support engines entering service.

Post Entry Into Service specific tasks

  • Lead the Customer Engineering team responsible for supporting new engine programs.
  • Facilitate Escape Meetings, Safety Management System (SMS) reviews, and Service Difficulty Reviews (SDRs) related to new engine programs.
  • Actively participate in Program Management Team (PMT) meetings and identify opportunities for product and support process improvements.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Bachelor’s degree with more than 10 years of relevant experience OR Master’s degree with more than 7 years of relevant experience.
  • University degree in Aeronautics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience managing customer relationships (OEMs and operators) with a high level of tact and professionalism.
  • Experience in Customer Support, OEM integration, Engine Repair and Overhaul (MRO).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access, Enovia, or similar tools.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally, both internationally and domestically.

This position is part of a French-speaking work environment, it requires a very good knowledge of English to read and understand, on a daily basis, documentation and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.
