Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Credits & Incentives practice across offices in Canada. You will guide engagements, assess capital asset costs, and maximize eligible credits while building lasting client relationships.

You will lead a team of professionals, coach high performers, and contribute to revenue growth by expanding services and attracting new clients to the firm.

Qualifications

• You have an engineering, science or technology degree and experience in a related field of energy, infrastructure, manufacturing or real estate.
• You are a recognized subject matter expert and leader with 5+ years of experience supporting capital asset reviews, tax credit claims, grants filings, or related advisory services.
• You possess a strong understanding of the Clean Economy Tax Credit programs, manufacturing capital asset programs and the broader tax credit landscape in Canada.
• You have experience leading client engagements and coaching high-performing teams.
• You value teamwork, client service, and delivering high-quality work.
• You demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Credits & Incentives client engagements, with a focus on the Clean Economy tax credits and capital asset or manufacturing tax credits.
• Review and analyze capital asset acquisitions, construction, and installation costs to identify qualified expenditures to maximize available tax credits.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and effectively communicating technical matters, recommendations, and engagement priorities.
• Effectively communicate with clients and team members regarding engagement progress, technical matters, and project priorities.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members while fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
