The Senior Manager, Tax leads tax compliance, risk control, and tax engine support for both ongoing business operations and new strategic initiatives. In this role, you will manage end-to-end tax system implementations and updates, ensuring accurate tax capture, reporting, and procedural documentation across all enterprise systems. Requiring an in-depth understanding of interconnected financial systems, accounting workflows, and controls, you will act as a core subject matter expert—analyzing tax issues, developing remediation plans, and presenting solutions directly to executive leadership. Additionally, you will lead direct reports through performance goals and ongoing development, oversee external government tax audits, and collaborate with cross-functional partners to embed tax awareness into broader business strategies.
On behalf of our client, our agency is seeking a dynamic and highly analytical Senior Manager, Tax to join their finance leadership team. This role oversees corporate tax compliance, tax systems implementations, and risk governance across all operations. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical expertise in Canadian sales taxes with people leadership capabilities to mentor a dedicated team, manage tax engines (SAP/Vertex), and advise senior executives on tax strategies and legislative impacts.
