Senior Manager, Counterparty Market Risk

This role involves managing margin sufficiency analysis for trading counterparties, market risk for financing, and enhancing counterparty credit risk analytics. The team identifies and assesses key market risks impacting counterparty exposures, providing risk management overlays and integrating inputs from credit and market risk teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a customer-focused culture to enhance client relationships.
  • Understand, control, and report counterparty market risks in line with policies.
  • Oversee portfolios from a margin sufficiency perspective and provide independent analysis.
  • Collaborate with Credit Officers and develop risk libraries and frameworks.
  • Support development of analytics, models, and tools for CCR management.
  • Participate in risk adjudication, stress testing, and regulatory projects.
  • Advise on valuation adjustments and ensure independent price verification.
  • Partner with the business and collaborate across teams to enhance risk measurement.
  • Engage with global teams and participate in system enhancements.
  • Understand and incorporate the bank’s risk appetite and culture in activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Quantitative undergraduate degree, with a master's preferred; CFA/FRM/PRM is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, derivatives valuation, and risk analysis.
  • Experience with OTC businesses and SFTs.
  • 5+ years in counterparty or market risk management.
  • Knowledge of ISDA/CSA, MRA, GMRA documentation and regulatory guidance.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis.
  • Ability to manage projects independently and collaborate effectively.
