Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Credit - Energy

As the Senior Manager in Global Risk Management Corporate Credit Energy, you will be responsible for managing credit adjudication activities for a portfolio of corporate customers, primarily in the oil & gas industry. You will handle significant deal flow with diverse structures and risks, collaborating with Banking partners to contribute to sound asset growth and profits by performing in-depth risk assessments, ensuring requests are analyzed and adjudicated in compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures. Your recommendations will facilitate timely decisions, sometimes under accelerated timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform credit analysis and adjudicate on accounts by reviewing financial and industry information and assessing risks.
  • Collaborate with Banking partners to identify and address key risks, ensuring operational and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure prompt adjudication of credit applications with all relevant information provided.
  • Provide recommendations to senior management and participate in discussions with the Senior Credit Committee.
  • Assign risk ratings to Borrowers and Guarantors in line with Bank policies.
  • Prepare industry reviews and reports, utilizing analytics to monitor portfolio trends, especially in volatile markets like oil & gas.
  • Develop industry expertise and maintain the quality of the credit portfolio through ongoing reviews and discussions.
  • Monitor portfolio health, identify early warning signs, and assess strategies for problematic loans.
  • Use data analytics to enhance credit assessment processes.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business or related field; MBA, CFA, or CPA is an asset.
  • Self-motivated, results-focused team player with strong learning ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of credit risk policies, products, and processes; previous credit risk experience is advantageous.
  • Understanding financial statements and cash flow analysis with strong analytical skills.
