Role Overview

Leads and oversees the Canadian Control Room team to ensure business strategies, plans, and initiatives comply with regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Drive a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage bank-wide resources.
2. Manage compliance programs related to information barriers, research, regulatory requests, and securities aggregation.
3. Perform quality assurance on Control Room tasks, including list management and reviews.
4. Incorporate new technology into processes, supporting digital transformation to enhance efficiency.
5. Review escalated issues to identify risks, assess controls, and recommend improvements.
6. Develop policies and procedures to adapt to regulatory changes.
7. Serve as a subject matter expert on policy interpretation, providing guidance to employees.
8. Collaborate with various internal groups to ensure compliance and risk management.
9. Promote a risk-aware culture aligned with the bank’s values and conduct standards.
10. Build and lead a high-performance team, fostering an inclusive environment and managing talent development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Post-secondary education or professional designations.
2. At least 5 years of experience in compliance or a related field within a financial institution.
