Job summary

The Government of Nova Scotia is seeking a Manager of Cash Management and Banking Services in Halifax. You will lead cash forecasting for the General Revenue Fund, oversee banking functions, and identify efficiencies with the Cash Management team.

The role requires an undergraduate degree in business or related fields, plus a professional designation or MBA or equivalent, and at least five years in financial services with Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP experience.

Qualifications

• Requires undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent.
• Professional designation or advanced degree (CFA, FRM, PRM, MBA or MFin) preferred.
• At least five years of experience in financial services; forecasting, cash management and corporate banking knowledge desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cash forecasting system for the General Revenue Fund.
• Assist in daily cash management activities including short-term borrowing and investing surplus funds.
• Review banking and merchant contracts; ensure PCI compliance for merchant accounts.
• Provide support with capital markets relationships and counterparty risk monitoring.
• Prepare and present strategic documents and executive-level reports.
