BDO Canada’s Oakville office seeks a Senior Manager to lead the Canadian Tax practice’s domestic tax projects. You will evaluate client processes, develop proactive tax strategies, and guide teams to deliver high-quality tax work for diverse clients.

You will apply advanced tax knowledge, supervise engagements, and mentor staff while strengthening client relationships. CPA with In-Depth Tax or Masters required; 7+ years in public accounting with 3+ in tax expected.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation completed with In-Depth Tax Program and/or Masters in Tax.
  • 7 years experience in public accounting with a minimum of 3 years in tax.
  • Extensive understanding of tax legislation, corporate/personal/trust tax planning and compliance.
  • Value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.

to join the Canadian Tax practice. This is for an existing vacancy and the successful candidate will own the following responsibilities:

  • Apply specialized knowledge to anticipate, identify and address tax issues relevant to the client’s business.
  • Provide both technical and project management leadership to team members for Domestic Tax projects or assignments. Ensure quality control standards.
  • Identify as well as develop and implement strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities. This includes preparing & review tax reorganizations and reviewing corporate, trust and estate tax returns.

  • You will understand the industries BDO services and contribute to the group's advancement.
  • You will ensure work is complete, accurate and appropriately reviewed by maintaining the necessary technical knowledge and professional development.
  • You will recommend and implement quality or efficiency improvements to our engagements.
  • You will actively engage in communication with people leaders to ensure understanding of performance and development, while identifying and attracting top talent.
  • You will support our firm's revenue growth by referring clients to other services lines and new clients to BDO.
Your Experience And Education
  • You have completed your CPA designation as well as the In-Depth Tax Program and/or Masters in Tax.
  • You have 7 years experience in public accounting with a specialization in Tax for a minimum of 3 years.
  • You have extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal and trust tax planning and compliance.
  • You value teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
  • You display strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

The expected range of compensation for this role is $125,000 - 1$75,000 annually
