Job summary

BMO Financial Group is seeking a Senior Manager for the Digital Acquisition team to drive AI Search and SEO initiatives, spanning Brand, Communications, Digital PR, and business partners. You will lead expansion of our AI-driven search capabilities and scale AI and SEO data programs across the organization.

Based in Toronto, this salaried role requires 8+ years in SEO/GEO, AI search, and influencer marketing, with a strong track record in PR measurement and reputation management in regulated

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SEO/GEO strategy and AI search visibility.
• Experience with SEO insights, audience intelligence, GEO platforms, media monitoring, social listening, PR measurement, and AI tools.
• Crisis & reputation experience supporting issue management in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Evolve digital PR, expert reviews, thought leadership, and influencer marketing into a GEO optimized practice.
• Evolve GEO operating model to ensure communications strategies are fully integrated; collaborating with Brand, Communications and business priorities.
• Partner closely with Social and Influencer Marketing teams to develop creator, influencer, ratings & reviews, and content strategies that build consumer trust, category authority, and AI-powered discoverability.
• Measure GEO & Earned Authority Performance; Create and maintain a GEO measurement framework, including sentiment, share of voice, source authority for affiliate opportunities, AI citations, content freshness, risk indicators, and brand mentions.

Overview

BMO is seeking a Senior Manager for the Digital Acquisition team to drive AI Search and SEO initiatives, across the organization. You will lead the expansion of our AI Search capabilities by building new processes and practices across collaborative partnerships in Brand, Communications, Digital PR, and our business partners. You'll work at the frontier of AI-driven search, focused on expanding brand positioning and reputation management within AI platforms, scaling our AI & SEO data capabilities, and developing AI-focused affiliate programs in partnership with performance marketing teams. This role will play a critical part in scaling our AI search function across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Evolve digital PR, expert reviews, thought leadership, and influencer marketing into a GEO optimized practice
• Evolve GEO operating model to ensure communications strategies are fully integrated; collaborating closely with Brand, Communications and business priorities

Qualifications

• Experience: 8+ years in SEO/GEO strategy and AI search visibility, PR, media relations, digital PR, influencer marketing, or closely related fields.
• Technical & Analytical Capability: Demonstrate experience working with SEO, search insights, audience intelligence, GEO platforms, media monitoring, social listening, PR measurement, and AI tools to inform communications strategies and performance.
• Crisis & Reputation Experience supporting issue management, crisis communications, and reputational risk in complex and/or regulated environment

Salary

Salary: $85,500.00 - $185,000.00

Pay Type: Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
