Job summary

BMO Financial Group is hiring for a Data/AI Engineering role at its Toronto-area location. You will contribute to data and AI product development, implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful solutions.

The role requires 2-5 years of experience, proficiency in SQL/NoSQL, Python, Spark, and AI concepts, plus strong communication and teamwork. On-site work at 100 King Street West in Toronto with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years of relevant experience and IT education and/or certification(s).
• Experience with ETL/ELT development/testing and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with structured, semi-structured and unstructured datasets in batch and streaming.
• Experience with data analysis, data modeling, data mapping and data profiling.
• Knowledge of AI concepts, GenAI, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).
• Experience with Agile delivery, including usage of JIRA.

Salary: $55,500.00 - $120,000.00 Pay Type: Salaried. The above represents BMO Financial Group’s pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position. BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
