Job summary

AgeCare Dawson is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep the community, equipment and grounds in safe, clean and healthy condition. You will support preventative maintenance programs and collaborate with staff to provide a high-quality environment for clients and visitors.

The role requires 3–5+ years in painting and general maintenance, English communication skills, and a flexible, energetic team player attitude in a demanding setting.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years prior painting and general maintenance experience
• Class 5 Power Engineer ticket preferred
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing
• Energetic, team player with ability to stay flexible in a demanding environment

Responsibilities

• Perform / coordinate outside custodial duties such as snow and ice removal from walkway
• Responsible for the repair and maintenance of inside and outside the building including gardening, landscaping, pest control, etc.
• Coordinate / assist in routine ground maintenance, parking areas, driveways, by cutting, trimming, sweeping, etc.
• Coordinate and/or perform routine and minor repair of all building and equipment including drywall repair, carpentry, painting, etc.
• Ensure Preventative Maintenance Check Sheets and Schedules are followed
• May be required to perform housekeeping duties in high places and in mechanical areas
