Job summary

The Waterford, part of Bria Communities in South Delta, is seeking a Cook to prepare high-quality meals that align with the Bria Cuisine standards. You will use fresh ingredients and contribute to team goals in a busy senior living kitchen.

Reporting to the Culinary Services Manager, you will support breakfast, lunch and dinner service, participate in menu planning, and ensure safe food handling and presentation for residents and guests.

Qualifications

• Diploma from a recognized culinary school preferred.
• Experience in a recognized establishment required.
• Food Safe Certificate is required.
• Red Seal Certificate is a definite asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, produce and present menu items following recipes and Bria Cuisine standards.
• Operate cooking equipment safely and maintain cleanliness after use.
• Ensure safety, hygiene, and quality standards meet Health and Safety regulations.
• Lead food production in absence of the Executive Chef/Manager.
• Maintain knowledge of Bria Cuisine policies and standards.
• Foster positive communication among management, staff, residents and public.
• Contribute recipe and menu ideas based on resident feedback.
• Maintain residents' privacy and confidentiality except as needed for business.
