Job summary

Lakeside Manor in Salmon Arm, BC, is seeking an Activities & Events Specialist to plan and lead wellness, education, and recreation programs for residents. Under the General Manager, you’ll coordinate monthly calendars, organize outings, and foster social engagement while upholding dignity and individual needs in a Vibrant Advantage environment.

The role requires a Recreation certificate or diploma (or equivalent), a valid Class 4 driver’s license, and current First Aid and WHMIS certifications.

Qualifications

  • Certificate or Diploma from a recognized Recreation program or equivalent education & experience with seniors.
  • Class 4 (unrestricted) driver’s license and driver's abstract required.
  • Current First Aid and WHMIS certificates are required.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, plans, implements, and monitors wellness, educational, and recreation programs for tenants.
  • Implements monthly life enrichment calendars and coordinates outings.
  • Provides programs and events that promote engagement and socialization to support high quality of life for residents.
  • Maintains safety and adheres to corporate and legislative requirements.
  • Drives residents to outings and appointments using the Residence Bus.
