Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Canada is seeking an Activities Assistant to support daily programs and enrich resident life. You will help coordinate activities, encourage participation, and assist with calendars and newsletters while ensuring safety and smooth operations.

The role requires the ability to lead small groups, a high school diploma, and strong organizational skills. A driver’s license may be needed for certain locations, and prior senior living experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to lead small group activities.
• Valid driver’s license may be required in some roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily activities, events, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation.
• Help prepare activity calendars and newsletters.
• Escort residents to and from programs as needed.
• Maintain organized activity spaces and supplies.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Document participation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate changes appropriately.
