Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living's Sunrise of Victoria in Victoria, BC is seeking an Activities Assistant to join the casual, part-time team. You’ll help lead daily activities, create enriching programs, and welcome residents to participate with warmth and energy.

You’ll support calendars and newsletters, escort residents, maintain spaces, and help build partnerships with volunteers, contributing to meaningful, community-focused experiences for seniors.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to lead small group activities.
• Valid driver’s license (as applicable).
• Senior living experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in leading daily activities, events, and enrichment programs.
• Encourage and support resident participation.
• Help prepare activity calendars and newsletters.
• Escort residents to and from programs as needed.
• Maintain organized activity spaces and supplies.
• Support volunteer engagement and community partnerships.
• Document participation per regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor resident engagement and communicate changes appropriately.
