Job summary

Pacer Group in Mississauga, Canada, is seeking a Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer to lead Linux operations in a hybrid work environment. You will manage RHEL servers, high-availability clusters, and automation pipelines to ensure reliable, secure services.

The role requires deep expertise in Veritas VCS/VXVM, shell and Perl scripting, and Ansible, with close collaboration across Infrastructure, DevOps and application teams to maintain uptime and implement OS hardening.

Qualifications

• Expertise in Linux system administration (RHEL 7/8).
• Experience with RHEL upgrades and OS lifecycle management.
• Experience with Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) and Veritas Volume Manager (VXVM).
• Knowledge of high-availability clusters and failover mechanisms.
• Shell scripting and basic Perl scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Firmware upgrades and maintenance on physical and virtual servers.
• Troubleshoot storage, HBA, multipathing, and NIC bonding issues.
• Support RAC prerequisites and infrastructure requirements.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles and automation workflows.
• Automate OS provisioning, patching, user management and hardening.
• Ensure OS security standards and compliance.
